Sample report — fictional clubs, players and data. This is the game-plan package a Scout Aid Pro client receives: opposition insight, a coaching week, and a card for every player.
Stanmore defend corners zonally and never track late runners; load the back post from right-side set pieces and attack the pocket between their lines.

The surprise — our shape
4-3-3, one midfielder dropping to build. — They start high but tire into a passive block, and their corner defending never tracks a late runner.

What their shape did

  • Pressed hard early, both strikers onto our centre-backs forcing long. 3'9'
  • Dropped into a mid-block after the break and got played through. 46'
  • Stopped pressing altogether later, sitting off and forcing long. 69'
  • Defended corners zonally guarding the six, late runners untracked. 24'57'

  • Our team in green, theirs in red.
  • Positions come from the team sheets and formations entered, not the match.

If they change

  • If they keep pressing high all match → we drop a man deep, play through the gaps left
  • If they sit in a deep block early → we work the pocket and load zonal corners
  • If they mark corners man-to-man instead → we switch to near-post flicks and screens

The teamsheet check — one hour before kick-off

  • Is their first-choice keeper starting — calibrates how hard we attack crosses.
  • Did their booked midfielder start — calibrates how freely we use the pocket.
  • Which striker starts after the sub — calibrates our counter cover.

Coaching notes — the training week
A

Every day, 20 minutes: Build past the press

Goal-kick build with one midfielder dropping between centre-backs to split and play out. Standard: Escape clean 7 of 10 against a live high press.
B

Three days, 15 minutes: Attack zonal corners

Right-side corners whipped to the six, two runners arriving late behind a static zone. Standard: Late runner wins free contact in six of ten deliveries.
C

Three days, 15 minutes: Defend the back post

Right-side cross defending, left-back and centre-backs tracking runners across to the far post. Standard: No runner arrives unmarked at the back post across the set.
D

Daily, 10 minutes: Finish from the pocket

A midfielder spins into the pocket between lines, receives and finishes first or second touch. Standard: Clean turn and shot on target in half the reps.
E

Twice, 20 minutes: The last ten minutes

Crossing early at a dropping keeper, fresh wide legs, while staying balanced against counters. This is the plan the capture points to; which of it fits his week and players is the coach's call. Standard: Chances created without conceding the counter in the drill.
F

Once, 15 minutes: If it goes wrong

Rehearse conceding first and ten men: keep the dropping six, stay compact, counter through the pocket. Standard: Shape holds and we still create from transition.
G

Once, 15 minutes: Bench plan

Fresh wide legs late to attack a tiring flank; brief them on the corner routine and back-post marking. Standard: Subs know their set-piece jobs before they go on.

About this report
What we’re certain of: They defend corners zonally and twice left late runners untracked.
What we can’t know: We cannot tell from three shots whether their threat needs space or settled possession.
This report is built from one full live capture of Harbour Point against Stanmore Rovers, logged from footage by R. Halloway, who commentated throughout. The recording finished level at one apiece. Stanmore pressed hard early with both strikers on our centre-backs, then dropped into a mid-block after the break and stopped pressing later on. The plan assumes their corner defending and their vulnerability through the middle are habits, not one-offs, and both show up more than once in the capture.
